The Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park is running a butterfly exhibit until October 29th. This exhibit is included in the $5 ticket to the conservatory.
After you enter the conservatory, head to the left wing of the building, go through the plastic sheeting and you'll enter a room swarming with all types of butterflies.
At the center of the exhibit is a small hutch filled with chrysalises. If you are lucky, you may see a new born butterfly emerge from one of them.
